DJ Q Joins Ministry Of Sound Radio
I’m sure I’m not the only person who feels the airwaves haven’t quite been the same since DJ Q left 1xtra back in August…
Well good news, DJ Q has managed to secure a monthly “Essential Garage Show” on Ministry Of Sound Radio!
“Hub Entertainment“
“UK Garage icon DJ Q is to begin hosting a monthly show on Ministry of Sound Radio.
Starting on 28 January 2013 at 9pm, the Huddersfield producer will present the station’s Essential Garage show, playing the best in new 2-step, 4×4 and bassline music. With his years of experience on the DJ and radio circuit, expect Q to demonstrate on the show exactly why he is both a well-respected tastemaker and popular garage artist in his own right.
The new radio role begins five months after Q ended a seven-year stint at BBC Radio 1Xtra, where he presented the three-hour weekly UKG M1X show, and so as one of the leading names in dance music, Ministry of Sound’s addition of DJ Q to their schedule is without question a perfect fit.
DJ Q speaks on the news:
“I’m excited about working with such a legendary name in dance music not just in the UK but Worldwide. It feels great to be back on the airwaves.
“If you’ve heard a DJ Q club set then you’ll know exactly what to expect. A mash-up of beats ranging from UK Garage, Grime, House and much, much more! Club music at itss best!”
The news continues a busy start to the year for Q, who will also release his single ‘Trust Again’ featuring Louise Williams this month through Local Action Records.
The Hub Entertainment manages DJ Q.”
